Artemis II Puts 4 Astronauts Further from Earth than Ever

Reid Wiseman commanded the NASA Artemis II mission in a loop around the dark side of the Moon. The 5-day trip lanunched April 1, 2026 and returned on April 6. Wiseman is a 1997 graduate of JD's almam mater, Rensselaer Polytechinc Institute. The essentially flawless mission brought along three other astronauts, inclucing a woman and a Canadian. NASA's lat trip to the Moon was Apllo 17 in 1972. [4/13/2026]

Neil Sedaka Gone at Age 86

Singer/songwriter Neil Sedaka has died at age 86. His hits include Breaking Up is Hard to Do, Bad Blood, and Laughter in the Rain. He was a native of Brooklyn, NY. He took three hits to #1 and put nine into the Top Ten on Billboard. Sedaka also wrote many songs that were hits for other artists, like Connie Francis’ 1958 hit Stupid Cupid and, 17 years later, the Captain and Tennille’s #1 hit Love Will Keep Us Together.
