Boston was part of the first Day of Rock at the Superdome in New Orleans, June 10, 1979. Others on the bill included Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, Heart, and Blue Oyster Cult.

Unlike the small stage at The Warehouse, the Superdome had plenty of room for Boston's humongous pipe organ, pictured below.
