Saturday, May 3rd was JD's day at the 2014 Jazz Fest. The weather couldn't have been better. As pilots would say, sunny and CAVU (ceiling and visibility unlimited). Although there would have been plenty of music to hear and see at the other stages, JD figured he'd have to park himself in the SRO area in front of the Acura Stage from 11 AM on in order to be in good photo position for the closing act, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. The crowd was expected to be huge, and it was. Even the $900-a-ticket VIP area ended up packed, despite being enlarged considerably from the previous year. Folks looking down from the MetLife Blimp overhead must have been impressed.
